In 2019, Los Angeles fast-food restaurants alone employed over 150,000 people, with many more working across the restaurant, bar, and entertainment industries. When the pandemic struck, many of these businesses kept their employees on the payroll, despite the lockdowns. These businesses can now apply for tax credits through a recently launched application by Cottage Digital Media and a team of ERTC experts.

The team behind the enhanced application has taken into consideration several amendments introduced to the ERTC program that made rebates available to businesses that were not eligible under the original requirements. These include businesses with between 5 and 500 full-time employees, regardless of whether they have already received a loan through the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP).
Though the changes made to the ERTC program have made it more complicated, they have largely benefited employers by expanding the eligibility and increasing the rebates. Employers may now qualify for up to $26,000 in rebates, per W-2 employee.
Determining a business’s eligibility takes approximately one minute and can be done using a no-cost assessment that requires no proprietary business information. After completing the assessment, employers can schedule a consultation with an ERTC expert to determine the maximum allowable rebate they qualify for.
The ERTC team has so far helped a wide variety of clients claim their rebates, including non-profit organizations, restaurants, hair salons, and general contractors. Every client’s file is handled directly by a trained expert, and refunds are processed daily.
Unlike the previously popular PPP, ERTC rebates are not loans. There is no requirement to pay them back, and also no restrictions on how they can be spent.
New businesses founded during the pandemic may also be eligible for up to $100,000 in rebates if they have gross receipts of less than $1 million, and at least one employee who is not a family member or 50% owner. These new companies fall under a special category as Recovery Startup Businesses.
A satisfied client said, “I didn’t know anything about this before talking to a friend that referred me. To date, we have received about $80,000 with more coming. I would advise anyone to just reach out to see if it works for you also.”
